Clover Time Social Classes Tier List: Keep or Reroll Your Class
All six Clover Time social classes compared by rarity, roll chance and passive bonuses, with keep-or-reroll verdicts for progression and earning.
Quick answer: keep Sovereign and Royal every time. Keep Merchant if earning Yuls is your priority — it's the best value roll below Legendary. Noble is balanced enough to play on for a long time. Commoner is fine for your first hours but worth replacing eventually, and Peasant is the one result you should always reroll.
Social Classes are rolled with spins and give passive stat boosts that stack on top of your race, trait and title bonuses. This page ranks all six classes for farming, progression and earning value so you can decide whether to keep or reroll your current roll. If you want the full factual breakdown of each class instead of rankings, see the Clover Time social classes reference.
How this tier list is judged
The tiers weigh what the bonuses actually do for a grinding player:
- Stacked bonus breadth and strength — the biggest gap between low and high classes is how many useful bonuses they combine. Peasant and Commoner give a few small boosts; Royal and Sovereign give strong bonuses across several important stats at once.
- EXP bonuses — directly speed up leveling and progression.
- Yuls bonuses — directly increase the money you earn.
- Regeneration — Health, Stamina and Mana Regen keep you farming longer without downtime.
Rarity tracks value closely — rarer classes generally roll stronger bonuses — but it isn't the only measure. Merchant is the exception: at just Rare rarity, its +10% Yuls is the biggest money boost below Legendary, which is why it sits in A tier despite a 16.95% roll chance.

Class-by-class verdicts
Sovereign (S) — The most complete farming class. It pairs the strongest regeneration (+20% Health and Stamina Regen) with +17.5% Mana, +30% Mana Regen, +17.5% EXP and +22.5% Yuls, so sustain, leveling and money all improve at once. At a 0.65% roll chance it's the rarest result — if you land it, never reroll it.
Royal (S) — The second-best class overall. +12.5% Health Regen, +12.5% Stamina Regen, +12.5% Mana, +20% Mana Regen, +12.5% EXP and +15% Yuls is a huge upgrade because nearly every important farming and sustain stat gets a strong bonus at the same time. It doesn't reach Sovereign's level, but it's a very strong keep.
Merchant (A) — The money class. Its +10% Yuls boost makes it a solid, easy-to-get choice for farming cash while still adding +2.5% Mana, +7.5% Mana Regen and +3.5% EXP. If you already have Merchant and benefit from the extra income, you don't need to rush toward an S-tier reroll.
Noble (A) — The balanced all-rounder: +7.5% Health Regen, +7.5% Stamina Regen, +6% Mana, +12.5% Mana Regen, +6% EXP and +7.5% Yuls. It isn't the strongest option in the game, but it's perfectly usable while progressing, so rerolling it is a preference, not a necessity.
Commoner (B) — The same stat categories as Peasant but with bigger numbers (+2.5% Mana, +5% Mana Regen, +2.5% EXP, +2.5% Yuls). It's a better starting option than Peasant, but the bonuses are still basic — plan to replace it once you've banked some spins.
Peasant (C) — +1% Mana, +2.5% Mana Regen, +1% EXP and +1% Yuls are small boosts that don't stand out against any other option. There isn't much here compared to higher tiers, so this is the one result to replace immediately.
Best social classes for progression and earning
For progression, Sovereign is the best pick because its bonuses mix regeneration, Mana, EXP and Yuls — and EXP and Yuls are exactly the stats that speed up leveling and build your money. Royal is the closest alternative and keeps nearly all of that value.
For earning, Merchant is the realistic target. A 16.95% roll chance makes it roughly ten times more likely than Royal, and its +10% Yuls pays out on every source of income.
Whatever you roll, the bonus doesn't act alone: class bonuses stack with your race and title bonuses. In launch-week footage, a player's boost list itemized each source side by side — human race +5%, Merchant +3.5%, Fast Learner trait +10%, plus a purchased shop boost — all accumulating together. You can audit your own totals in-game under Profile > Statistics.
When to reroll your social class
Work down this list against your current roll:
- Sovereign or Royal (Legendary/Mythic): keep — stop rerolling.
- Merchant: keep if money matters to you; reroll only if you're chasing raw progression stats.
- Noble: your call — usable for the whole progression curve, or reroll if you want a bigger ceiling.
- Commoner: fine for now, replace when you can.
- Peasant: reroll.
How hard to push is a style choice. The pragmatic approach: don't feel you have to reroll everything immediately — A-tier options like Merchant and Noble can carry you comfortably through progression. The stricter approach, from a dedicated tips video: aim for anything better than Epic, and take Legendary or Mythic when you can. One caution either way: spin supply and reroll cost aren't documented anywhere, so there's no verified number of attempts it takes to hit a target class — set a spin budget you're comfortable with instead of chasing a fixed count.
Where and how to reroll:
- Open the Menu in the top-right corner and go to Customize, or speak to the Priest inside the Church in Hage Village, the starting area, if you prefer an NPC. The Priest offers race, social class and passive spins separately.
- Pick the social class roll — the menu keeps race, social class and attribute rolls separate, so you won't waste a spin on the wrong pool.
- Check the result screen before confirming: clicking any option shows exactly what it does, alongside the roll probabilities.
- Compare what you rolled against the verdicts above. Success looks simple: you end the session with Merchant, Noble, Royal or Sovereign equipped.
The six-class roster above is the current lineup; the game is early access and more classes may be added in the future, so this list reflects what's obtainable now rather than a final set.
Once you've decided to reroll, the Clover Time rerolls guide is the dedicated page for the full reroll workflow, and the beginner guide covers what to prioritize in your first sessions.
