Clover Time Traits: Every Trait's Effects, Rarity and How to Reroll
All nine Clover Time traits with exact passive effects, rarity and roll chances, plus both verified reroll routes — compare each Trait before spending a reroll.
Traits are Clover Time's passive roll category: each Trait gives your character unique, passive stat boosts and buffs. Nine Traits are documented, and the table below lists every one's exact effects, rarity and roll chance — everything you need to judge whether your rolled Trait is worth keeping before you spend a reroll.

Clover Time is in early access, and these values come from a recent snapshot of the game's Trait table. Balance updates can move effect numbers and roll chances, and updates can add or change Traits, so it's worth rechecking after a patch. You can always verify a Trait in-game: click it in the roll menu and the game shows exactly what it does.
What each Trait does
Health and Stamina Traits
- Thick Skin (Common) — the pure health option: +4% Health and +7.5% Health Regen.
- Steady Hands (Common) — the stamina counterpart: +4% Stamina and +7.5% Stamina Regen.
- Iron Lungs (Uncommon) — a small +2.5% Stamina boost paired with the table's largest Stamina Regen figure at +20%, so your stamina bar refills much faster than it grows.
- Strong Body (Epic) — the only Trait that raises Health and Stamina together: +7.5% Health, +22.5% Health Regen, +5% Stamina and +12.5% Stamina Regen.
Mana Traits
- High Mana (Rare) — +25 flat Mana and +17.5% Mana Regen, a different direction from the health and stamina Traits, aimed at builds that cast spells over and over.
- Mana Sensitive (Legendary) — a bigger mana package: +12.5% Mana and +35% Mana Regen, plus +10% Health Regen on the side.
- Coin Eye (Common) — light mana support at +2.5% Mana Regen, with its own job on top: +5% Yuls (money gain).
Progression Trait
- Fast Learner (Uncommon) — +10% EXP and +5% Mana Regen. The in-game description reads "Learns from every battle more efficiently."
The all-rounder
- Chosen One (Mythic) — boosts every stat category at once: +10% Health, +25% Health Regen, +10% Stamina, +25% Stamina Regen, +10% Mana, +25% Mana Regen and +7.5% EXP.
Rarity and roll chances
Traits use six rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. The three Commons — Steady Hands, Thick Skin and Coin Eye — each land on 16.57% of rolls, so close to half of all Trait rolls produce one of them. Fast Learner and Iron Lungs follow at 15.19% each, and High Mana at 14.72%, before the odds drop sharply: 3.21% for Strong Body, 1.43% for Mana Sensitive and 0.56% for Chosen One. As a general pattern, higher-rarity Traits carry stronger effects, though some lower-rarity options remain very useful during the early game.
How to reroll your Trait
Both reroll routes open the same Trait Reroll menu, so use whichever is closer.
Route 1 — Character Customization menu
- Open your character customization screen.
- Scroll left or right until you find the Race/Social Class/Traits menu.
- Run the Trait reroll there.
Route 2 — The Hage Priest in Hage Village Church
- Travel to Hage Village and enter the church — it's a large building that's hard to miss.
- Speak to the Hage Priest NPC inside.
- Interacting with him brings up the same Trait Reroll menu as the customization screen. His spin menu covers race, social class and Trait (passive) rolls side by side, so make sure you're on the Trait option.
Each roll replaces your current Trait with a new random one from the table above, and clicking an option in the menu shows exactly what it does before you commit to keeping it. What a reroll attempt costs isn't documented in the current sources. For a fuller walkthrough of rolls and rerolls, see the Clover Time rerolls guide.
How Trait effects fit different builds
The Traits split into a few functional groups — what each one boosts, not a ranking:
- Sustained fighting: Thick Skin, Steady Hands, Iron Lungs and Strong Body all keep your Health or Stamina topped up, with Strong Body covering both at once.
- Spell-heavy play: High Mana and Mana Sensitive grow your mana pool and speed up its recovery, which matters most when you're casting repeatedly; Coin Eye adds a small regen trickle plus its Yuls bonus.
- Faster progression and income: Fast Learner's +10% EXP speeds up leveling — one new player rolled it from the Hage Priest and kept it for exactly that reason — while Coin Eye's +5% Yuls boosts money gains.
- Everything at once: Chosen One touches Health, Stamina, Mana and EXP in a single Trait, which is why it sits at the top of the rarity ladder at a 0.56% roll chance.
Once you know what each Trait does, the next decision is which one is actually worth chasing — the Clover Time traits tier list covers that from a ranked, comparative angle.
