Clover Time Rerolls: How to Get Spins and Reroll Race, Social Class, and Trait

How Clover Time rerolls work: get Spins from codes, playtime rewards, chests and the shop, then reroll Race, Social Class, or Trait at the Rolls menu or the Hage Priest.

Every reroll in Clover Time — Race, Social Class, and Trait — spends the same currency: Spins. You start with three, earn more from playtime rewards, index rewards, chests, and codes (and Race Rerolls also come from the in-game shop and boss drops), then spend a Spin in the Customize menu or with the Hage Priest in Hage Village. Pick the attribute you want to change, spend the Spin, and the new roll replaces the old one on the spot.

The three reroll types

RerollChangesWhat the attribute does
Race rerollRacePassive abilities that raise your overall stats, including Mana Regen, Max Health, EXP Gain, and Max Mana
Social Class rerollSocial ClassStat increases and passive buffs; there are 6 Social Classes, ranging from Common to Mythic
Trait rerollTraitUnique passive stat boosts and buffs

All three draw on one shared Spin pool, so every Spin is a decision about which attribute gets it. Recorded first playthroughs budget one Spin per category precisely because the pool is shared: one player spent their last Spin on Race and then found no Spins left for Social Class. Click any roll result to read exactly what it does before you decide to keep or reroll it.

How to get Spins

  • Starting Spins. Every new character begins with three Spins at creation.
  • Playtime rewards. Rewards accrue while you play and grant Spins — one playthrough reports a Spin about every 15 minutes, though that interval comes from a single creator's session rather than a documented rate. Whatever the pace, claim them before they pile up unclaimed: a beginner guide specifically warns players not to forget playtime rewards because "they give you spins."
  • Index rewards. Open your inventory, go to Index, and claim your entries. One recorded claim added a Spin, and index rewards can also pay out mana crystals.
  • Chests. Opening chests can yield a Spin alongside other loot such as fragments and money.
  • Codes. Redeem developer codes from the Settings menu for Spins (one documented code awarded 50), along with chests and mana crystals. Joining the game's Roblox group is required before codes will work. The current working list lives on the Clover Time codes page.
  • Shop and bosses. Race Rerolls are documented as purchasable from the in-game shop, redeemable through codes, or obtainable as special drops from in-game bosses. Whether Social Class and Trait rerolls have their own shop listings isn't documented — but since all three rerolls spend the same Spins, every Spin added by any route above can be spent in whichever of the three menus you open.

Where to use rerolls

Option 1: the Customize menu

  1. Open the Menu in the top-right corner and go to Customize.
  2. Switch to the Rolls menu at the top of the Customize screen, or scroll left or right until you find the Race/Social Class/Traits menu.
  3. Select the attribute you want to change — Race, Social Class, or Trait — and spend a Spin. The new result is shown immediately; one recorded Social Class roll returned Noble on the spot.

Option 2: the Hage Priest

  1. Travel to Hage Village, the starting village, and enter the church — a landmark described as impossible to miss.
  2. Find and speak to the Hage Priest NPC inside. Recorded playthroughs have also found the reroll NPC in the house where players spawn.
  3. He brings up the same reroll menus as the customization screen, with Spins for Race, Social Class, and Trait/passives. Spend a Spin on the attribute you want to change.

When to reroll — and when to wait

Rerolls are random, so the safe pattern is to keep a useful setup while progressing rather than chasing the absolute best option immediately. Higher-rarity Race and Social Class results usually give better stats, but some mid-tier options can carry you comfortably through progression. The menu shows a percentage next to each possible result — launch-day footage shows the rare Devil race at 0.12% — but no complete odds table is documented, so expect the rarest picks to take many Spins.

A practical loop: run with a decent roll now, keep claiming playtime rewards to bank Spins, and push for higher-tier results once you have rolls to spare. To see what is worth aiming for, check the Clover Time races tier list, social classes tier list, and traits tier list.

Don't confuse Spins with mana crystals

Race, Social Class, and Trait rerolls spend Spins — and nothing else. Grimoire rerolls at the Grimoire Tower are a separate system that consumes mana crystals instead: the Tor Archivist NPC there explains how to obtain crystals for spinning, and mana crystals come from crafting (five potatoes and 10 fragments), map spawns, chests, and codes. Spending mana crystals will not change your Race, Social Class, or Trait. The Grimoire Tower location, how to get a Grimoire, and mana crystals guides cover that side of rolling.

Once your Race, Social Class, and Trait are settled, the Clover Time beginner guide walks through what to focus on next.
